Chapter 27
Clark was lying on the bed when his father barged in, the doctor slowly turned to gaze at him and bowed his head low in respect.

"How is he?" Mr Hayes walked towards his son with a frown on his face, Clark leaned deeper into the pillow and sighed in pain.

"I'm sorry but he would be incapable of using that part of his body…" the doctor explained.

"What nonsense are you spitting?" Hayes growled. "How then does my lineage continue?"

"There are other ways we could go about it, sir." The doctor explained.

"Nonsense! How can a hospital this equipped be unable to tend to a minor issue?" Hayes yelled.

"There's nothing that can be done, sir… I and my fellow doctors have done what we could to save it."

"Are you saying that I'm wrong?" Hayes stepped closer to the doctor who took a step back and hung his head low.

"He's a freaking quack, I keep wondering how this place became the best hospital in the state." Clark frowned.

"We would try again and hope for the better." Another doctor said
