Chapter 133

Dionne kept checking her cell phone all the way home, hoping that Rex would reply to her messages. She knew her wish would not come true since the young man was sick, but she kept reading their message history because she was worried.

“We have arrived at the mansion.”

The driver’s voice pulled Dionne from her reverie. It took twenty minutes to get from campus to the Lace family mansion. Nevertheless, she felt she had only been sitting in the car for five minutes.

She did not realize that the car had arrived at the mansion. After thanking the driver, Dionne got out of the car and planned to study in her room.

Her plans seemed to be delayed because her parents were having guests. Dionne saw a white car parked in front of the mansion. She could guess the price of the car by its good parts.

“Is dad meeting with his business partner?”

Dionne had to welcome her parents’ guest as a courtesy. She walked into the house and greeted an old man she did not know.
