Chapter 16

Mona slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with the unfamiliar sight of the dark room, and then realized that she had slept on the couch. Her head was pounding, and her mouth felt dry and sticky.

As she struggled to sit up, a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her to lean back against the couch cushions. She rubbed her temples, trying to alleviate the throbbing headache.

Mona's thoughts were foggy, but she vaguely remembered the events of the previous night - the drinks, the laughter and what?

Her eyes were wide open when the image of her vomiting on a man in the living room hit her. She must have lost it, she thought, hitting her head in regret.

Who has she done, the room was still dark. She stood using her hand as a shield against anything coming her way. Walking towards the bed, the couch only added to her sorrow.
