Chapter 11. Emergency In Rome.

As Damian contemplated walking up to her again, two men dressed in well-tailored suits walked in, their expressions stoic. While Mrs. B's face turned paler, she quickly moved away from the counter and approached them, casting a nervous stare at Damian momentarily. Damian looked away, pretending to operate his phone.

“I will make arrangements; please give me some more time,” Damian strained his ears to hear Mrs. B say this, but he couldn't hear the other parties' conversation. What was really happening?

“Thank you, Thank you,” Mrs. B said desperately to them as they walked away. She nervously cleaned her hands on her apron and walked over to Damian with a huge smile that he returned.

“Everything fine?” Damian asked, looking worried.

“Yeah… Yeah,” Mrs. B nodded fiercely. “I’ll go get that drink.” She turned away quickly, as if afraid Damian would inquire further.

As Damian continued to contemplate what might be wrong with the woman, his phone rang. He hissed when he saw the caller’s ID.
