Chapter 19. The Trap.

Damian stared at him for a while, then burst into sudden laughter, leaving Enzo surprised as he watched him. “I knew your dumb self was not to be trusted,” Damian said, stopping his laughter and looking serious.

Enzo brought out another pistol from his suit pocket and pointed it at Damian, angry that he was being taken for granted. “How dare you,” Enzo gritted through his teeth.

The smile on Damian's face faded as he regarded him seriously. “Pull that trigger, and you will never get to see your grandma again.” Enzo's brow creased in confusion. “What the...”

His phone rang, interrupting him. He looked down at his pants where his phone was and then back at Damian. “I would advise you to pick that... an innocent person might die.” Damian's eyes regarded him playfully as he smirked, enjoying the helpless look on Enzo’s face as he picked it up hastily.

“Mr. Lombardi…” The caregiver he employed to take care of his grandma's voice came through shakily.
