Chapter 80. Crossroad

"You don't get to raise your voice at me, Freya," Damian said angrily, as if snapped out of a reverie. She blinked rapidly while panting hard. She turned to look at Elena, who looked more confused.

"Fuck this," she said angrily and barged out of the office, leaving Damian, who stared at the door and then back at Elena.

"Are you okay?" he asked with a careful gaze.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good. You should have done that. She looked pretty mad," Elena said as Damian sighed and brushed his hands through his hair.

"I can't believe you're speaking up for her," Damian said with irritation. "That brat isn't anywhere up to your class."

"Ugh?" Elena's mouth dropped.

"What's with the look?" Damian asked with a raised brow.

"I thought the two of you-"
