008: Little Poor And Adopted Fool!

Chris remembered what the soul Racer said to him earlier, so he stood up, ignoring them.

Just when he attempted to walk away, Zack pulled him by his collar and dragged him back.

"Don't you ever walk out on me, Chris! Show some respect!" Zack said in quite a threatening tone, trying to make little out of Chris. Even with this, Chris still refused to speak to Zack. He obediently stepped back, attempting to make a turn when two men stopped him. As the men stopped him from walking out, Zack dragged him back as if he were a piece of toilet roll.

"I've always known you to be Short-tempered but I never expected you to be so stubborn even after serving five years in jail!" Zack said out in poison, his hand still clutching Chris's collar.

"Let me go, Zack!" Chris uttered in a quiet, resigned voice, trying to keep his cool, but Zack only gripped his collar tightly. "You dare to call me by my name? Where have your respect gone to?" He inquired and Chris responded almost immediately

"You want to know where my respect has disappeared to?" Chris asked, moving his hand to Zack's shoulder. Before Zack could utter another word, Chris used his superpower of gripping to grab his hand and throw it out immediately, making Zack growl in pain.

"I've been keeping quiet doesn't make me a fool, I'll ignore you and this prostitute you called a wife!" Chris added, his face fixed on Alice's. Karen stood up immediately and slapped Chris angrily

"Why do you always have to cause trouble wherever you go to? Don't you know who you're speaking to?" She yelled in vibration "He is Zack Leonard! No one messes with him and goes scot-free. Do you wish to die?"

Ava also stepped up to back her mother, telling Chris that he was no match for Zack. Adding that he respects himself and they all leave here the same way they came.

As Ava spoke to Chris, Alice left Zack and walked to Chris, saying "Oh I see, you already got yourself a wife and you are even living with her in her father's house?"

"Excuse me, Chris, but did they swear for you to always serve as a Live-in son-in-law?" She said, a smile of mockery appearing on her face.

Chris grabbed Ava by her waist and pulled her closer to himself, leaving everyone in surprise. "What if Ava is my wife? At least, she still has some manners left within her. Whereas you, you're so CHEAP that you have to offer yourself to all the brothers of The Jones. Good thing we separated, cos I can't imagine myself with a Royal Prostitute like you!"

"How dare you?" Alice yelled furiously, raising her hand to slap him but Ava clutched it.

Her action surprised the entire customers whose attention was drawn.

"Who are you to stop me?" Alice directed to Ava, her words full of venom.

"It is quite uncultured for you to raise your hand on him in public knowing very well that you sold yourself and also got him imprisoned!" Ava responded, letting go of Alice's hand. It was not surprising to Alice how Ava attacked her because even before she married Chris, Alice never liked her.

To make the matter seem as though she wasn't pained, Alice scoffed continuously before stopping and turning to Chris.

"You're right, y'all are right! I asked you to take the blame for me not just because I want to be with Edward. We wanted you to go to jail so that you'll have a criminal record and won't be classified as WORTHY of running Falcon!" Alice said with pride as if it was an entitlement.

Chris found it difficult to believe what Alice said and also what she meant by WE. Falcon has to do with Zack so why was she involved?

He had to ask this question but Zack stepped forward to clarify everything.

"When she said WE, she was referring to us all, including me!" He said, "In case you don't know, I was the Mastermind behind your Imprisonment. Alice sent you to jail because I asked her to do so. Upon doing that, you'll come out with a criminal record... With a criminal record, you can't have the right to fight over Falcon!"

"You Rascal!" Chris expressed in an uproarious voice, attempting to hit Zack when he cut him off "Take a look around you, Chris! I have Fifty men surrounding you. With the snap of my finger, they'll beat you to death!"

With this being said, Chris hung on with his punch and continued vibrating angrily.

He stared at Zack as if he'd devour him. Chris not hitting him, made Zack think that he was weak but he was unaware that Chris was only respecting the voice of the Soul Racer.

"I'd love to give a final warning, Chris. Stay away from Falcon!" Zack warned, his voice cold and frightening.

"I should be the one telling you to prepare how you will transfer Falcon willingly to me!" Chris assured, and Zack chuckled.

"I'll go viral as a stupid man the day that I'll transfer Falcon to you! Falcon belongs to me, and there is nothing you or your dead father will do!"

"I took your father's land. I took your company, and also took your wife! Watch out for me, Chris, because I'll never rest until you go down!" Zack threatened and walked away immediately.

The customers enjoyed the show as they all started 'bad-mouthing' Chris. As Chris walked out of the Eatery, he could hear his name flying from one corner to another.

"Falcon has been doing so good in Sera for many years now and this trash thinks he could become the next CEO of Falcon?" "He's as dumb as his father who entrusted all his property to his cousin, Late Mr Jones "

The side talks kept flying until Chris departed the Eatery.

The moment they arrived home, Karen collected a jug of water from the dining and poured it on Chris's face.

"I am always disappointed in you, Chris Loner! Why did we have to take you in? You're such an embarrassment..."

"Mom!" Ava cut Karen off but she turned to her quickly "First thing tomorrow, you will get Chris a job in your company, do You get that?"
