Chapter eleven

Helen stared out the window of her room, lost in thought. Her laptop lay open in front of her and on the screen was a picture of a woman. She was right.

Her intuition was always true. She was a trained Personal Assistant and could find out about anything or anyone in a short time. She knew she shouldn't interfere in Aaron's personal affairs.

He was her boss. But she and her boss had had a few nights of passionate pleasure, and secret trysts behind closed doors and she couldn't shake the feeling of vulnerability she felt when she was around him.

She had come to accept that she was slowly falling for him. She wasn't one to indulge in emotional frivolities. She was a practical woman. And she didn't do anything without a reason. She has had previous lovers but it was just for sex.

Nothing else is attached. That was how she liked it. In her world, having a loved one exposed one to too many risks; especially when there were enemies around.
