Chapter hundred fifty one

“I didn't kill Julian," Anna said in an angry voice, trying to keep her composure. "I'm not a murderer." But Andrew and his boss, Aaron, didn't seem convinced. They were treating her like a criminal as if she had already been convicted of a crime. She felt a surge of panic and anger, but she tried to stay calm. She knew she couldn’t prove she was innocent when indeed she was guilty as hell. But still, she tried to keep in the act.

Andrew stood guard, his eyes never leaving her, while Aaron paced around the room. Anna could feel the tension rising, and she feared that things were about to get much worse.

Anna was a smart woman, and Aaron knew it. As he paced the room, he could feel the tension rising between them. She sat there, silent and still, like a defeated opponent.
