Chapter hundred six

Anna dressed for work, after a year of absence and three months of being bedridden, she was faced with different emotions all coming to her at once.

Dressed in her beige attire and her pistol safely tucked in its unpredictable hiding spot in her pants, her heels clanked loudly on the floor as she announced her presence with her appearance.

“Goodness, ma'am, you look breathtakingly rogue.” Emily whistled in appreciation before handing her her usual dose of coffee. “Thank you.” She held its warmth in her grasp before sipping from it.

“Now, I feel alive.” She cooed at the cup of coffee like it answered all her questions for the day.

Helen enjoying her cup of coffee was disrupted by Anna, whose presence and aura were always calm before a raging storm.

“My, where are you headed to?” She inquired from Anna, waiting for her cup of coffee from Emily, who took her time making a cup for her. “Oh, I'm headed to work,” Helen replied with a sweet smile.
