Chapter hundred sixty

A heavy feeling of guilt settled in the pit of his stomach. Aaron had betrayed the woman he loved. Anna was the cause of all this or probably he could blame himself for consulting his ex-wife for a talk. Dr Miller had called up Helen in Aaron’s absence, and the DNA test results to prove the paternity of the unborn baby Anna was pregnant with were ready.

As much as he tried to talk to Helen while they sat waiting for Dr Miller in the office. Helen had refused to speak to him, her face stony and unreadable. He could feel the anger and pain radiating from her, and he knew he was to blame.

"Helen," Aaron called out, his voice soft and pleading. But there was no answer. Just then, Dr. Miller entered the room, a file in her hand and a stethoscope around her neck. Her dark ponytail swished against her back as she walked.
