Chapter hundred twenty one

Helen's ward was empty, but the side door in the foyer that was ajar meant she did not flee the scene out of fear of the unknown.

Helen stood in the foyer, basking in the cold air that even caused Aaron to shiver. He picked out one of the rainbow-colored blankets and headed towards her direction.

She shook a bit, oblivious to her environment, she failed to notice when he came in.

“It's cold out here,” he expected her to move in sync with his hands on her shoulders, but Helen remained rooted to the ground, where she stood. “Why do I have to be the victim, facing different misfortunes at a time, it isn't fair.” Aaron had never seen her in such a state of devastation, he wanted to ease her of her burden, make it all go away, but Helen had become a fountain of pessimistic thoughts.
