Chapter 08

“Oh my god!” The girl screamed, she got really scared as she held the young doctor who was also shocked but managed to keep her own fear under wraps.

The insects that the old lord vomited soon started changing under the sunlight and after a while the insects turned into another black fog and disappeared into the sky.

It was shocking because the girl and the young doctor hadn't seen anything like this before. The young doctor knew that there was something about Oliver but she still didn’t think that he was magical.

“Look, Lord Tate is awake!” The young doctor announced and the girl broke down in tears, she was really joyful that Oliver had once again saved her grandfather.

She ran towards him as fast as she could and went to hug a coughing Lord Tate, she’d thought that there was no more hope and she was going to lose her grandpa but Oliver came to the rescue instead.

The old lord felt strange, he felt like something was moving inside him but the thing stopped and he felt better as he woke up.

He doesn’t know what had happened while he was unconscious but he was really happy to see his only granddaughter.

The girl was crying so much because of happiness, she kissed her grandfather’s head and cheeks and examined him well to be sure that he was really okay.

The hypnosis wore off the middle aged man inside and soon he woke up. He hurriedly left the room to go to the yard and anger stirred in him when he saw that the old lord was awake.

It was as though he didn’t want Lord Tate to be cured but Oliver was stubborn enough to cure him and now the man is better.

He frowned but soon made his frown disappear and his face was filled with happy smiles as he walked towards Lord Tate, Oliver, the young doctor and the young girl.

“How are you? How do you feel? Do you feel better or do we need to sue this asshole?!” The middle aged man asked the old lord as soon as he got to him.

He was acting as though he cared about him, like he hadn’t stopped Oliver and the rest from curing him like an hour ago.

“I feel fine,” Lord Tate coughed, he was still laying down because of how weak he was but he soon decided to stand up as soon as he saw Oliver.

“Don’t get up, you still need to rest so that your body can fully recover.” Oliver said as he pressed the man back down.

The man knew that Oliver had once again saved him, he felt like he owed his life to Oliver and he’d do anything to repay Oliver’s kindness.

“Thank you, you saved me again this time and I don’t know what to do for you.” The old man coughed but Oliver only asked him not to worry about it but to rest.

It looked like a miracle had happened to the old lord and the young doctor was curious. She wanted to know what Oliver was able to do that she couldn’t.

A part of her was jealous that Oliver was the one who got to save the old lord while another part of her was happy that the man was well and healthy again.

“What did you do?” The young doctor finally asked but Oliver only smiled, he didn’t want to answer at first but soon he saw how curious she was and decided to answer.

“What kind of disease does Lord Tate have?” She asked again and Oliver told her that lord Tate doesn’t have any disease.

“The lord doesn’t have any form of disease and in-fact he’s okay medically,” Oliver started explaining with a serious tone as he faced them.

“He’s cursed,” he continued, “there’s a really powerful curse looming over him and it’s a really mysterious curse but we were able to dissolve it.” He answered seriously again.

“How were you able to get rid of the curse?” The doctor asked, she was genuinely curious and wanted to know how Oliver did what he did.

“The sunshine is a powerful element and so is my hand so the Sun was able to extract the insects that were causing the lord’s pain out and with my massage the old lord recovered.” Oliver explained as carefully as he could.

It was unbelievable, none of them present had ever heard about a mysterious curse before. The doctor glared at Oliver with anger.

Her face had already turned red, she couldn’t believe that there was actually someone out there that was trying to kill the lord by cursing him this much.

“But who would do such a ridiculous thing?!” The young doctor asked in a fit of rage, blood ran in her veins and it was as if she should see whoever was behind the lord’s sickness and kill him.

“I will research that and I know that I’ll catch whoever it is red handed.” Lord Tate said and the middle aged man’s face turned pale but no one else noticed it.

They all celebrated the old lord’s health and although the middle aged man was scared; he managed to hide his fear from everyone and joined in the happy celebration.

“Thank you, Oliver Hudson,” the old lord thanked Oliver and even called his full name, “ I really have to make up for this, I have to compensate you.” He added.

“Oh it’s nothing really, don’t…..”

“For saving me once again, I’ll have further cooperation with your wife’s company and she or you will never lack anything because I will help in every possible way.” The old lord affirmed before Oliver could complete his sentence.

The young doctor didn’t know that Oliver was married so hearing the old lord mention his wife, she felt uncomfortable.

She felt heartbroken but she was more uncomfortable with the fact that Oliver was married, so she decided not to show it so that everyone wouldn’t think of her differently.

“I’ll ask some people to invest more shares in her company.” The old lord added.
