33. The Debate

Mr. Rudolf who a split second ago was still clutching Mr. George's shirt, has now moved on Darren's shirt.

With a sharp glare at Darren, Mr. Rudolf said, "Are you trying to protect Patricia?"

Darren, who deliberately wanted to look a bit offended, changed his calm face, then said, "How could I side with the police more than my coworker, Mr. Rudolf."

"Well, I can't trust someone like you, Darren," said Mr. Rudolf, who doubted Darren's loyalty.

"The proof is that I'm here, not in the crowd," Darren said, pointing at the television that was still broadcasting the live coverage.

"Then where have you just come from, while we've been gathered here since earlier," said Mr. Rudolf who was suspicious of Darren.

Before Darren could answer Mr. Rudolf's words, Mr. Charlotte got up from the sofa and tried to keep Mr. Rudolf away from Darren.

"You don't mess with Darren, Mr. Rudolf. He will be a very important person for the continuity of our business," said Mr. Charlotte firmly to Mr. Rudolf.
