47. A Negotiation

"Mr. Darren. I still remember you very clearly when you gathered in the Golden VVIP room," Mr. Salvador said with a sardonic smile.

Darren still sat, gave a small, quiet smile, and just looked at Mr. Salvador. He did not say anything.

"So what, you suspect me? I acquitted you of the police charges," replied Darren who was not provoked by any emotions.

Mr. Salvador smiled dismissively at Darren. He then leaned back as he folded his arms across his chest.

Darren looked at Mr. Salvador. Although it was only through the look on his face, he realized that Mr. Salvador was suspicious of him.

"Of course I'm suspicious of you. How could you free me so easily?" asked Mr. Salvador.

After Mr. Salvador's question, Darren pretended to think for a moment. Darren moved his sitting position to a slightly inclined position, then folded his hands on the table.
