When Snyder woke up, he smelled the unique disinfectant scent of the hospital even before opening his eyes. Lifting his eyelids, his vision was gray as if covered by a veil, there was a white ceiling above his head and white walls around him.

Hearing movement in the hospital bed, Kalix turned. His expression remained cold as usual. He stood up and walked toward Snyder's bed, asking, "You're awake, do you feel any discomfort in your body?"

This question clearly didn't arise from Kalix's heart but due to his mother's insistence.

That night, when they were found by Snyder's assistant and taken to the hospital, his mother had known they were kidnapped. The woman panicked and immediately sought them out with various questions, even forcing her way to catch up.

However, Kalix refused and firmly stated that they were fine, including Snyder. He also promised to keep an eye on the older man.

And here he was now, waiting for Snyder to regain consciousness to report his condition to his mother.
