102. Destroyer

Afraid that Jane would cause trouble for Eugene, although this was unlikely for several reasons, Kalix restrained Eugene to avoid any issues. He embraced her waist and spoke softly by her ear.

"Don't worry about her now, okay? There's still another time to deal with it, now is our time. I miss you."

Hearing Kalix's sweet voice involuntarily melted Eugene's heart. She suppressed her anger, turned, and faced him. Her hands cupped Kalix's cheeks, tapping them lightly, finally compromising.

"Okay, I'll forget about this issue for tonight, but I'll handle it later if I see her again."

Kalix quietly breathed a sigh of relief, stealing a gentle kiss on his lover's lips. Releasing the embrace, he returned to the dining table to continue their dinner.
