Some invited guests could not help but whisper and shower compliments, admiring Eugene as she walked up to the altar. Mr. Celeste firmly, yet gently, handed his daughter's hand to Edward.

"I entrust my daughter's responsibility to you, Kalix."

Edward nodded firmly, like a soldier, saying, "Don't worry, I will take over your duty to protect Eugene until the end of my life."

Mr. Celeste was very pleased with that answer, nodding, then leaving the couple from the altar.

A pastor brought a book.

"Are you both ready?" the pastor asked.

Kalix and Eugene, holding hands, nodded obediently, affirming the question from the pastor who would witness their marriage before God.

"Alright, let's begin this wedding ceremony."
