29. Clash of 2 Groups

Despite Kalix saying so, in reality, he had no interest in fighting today. However, if the other party desired it, he wouldn’t stop Carl and might even assist him a bit.

The hypocrite Bernard intervened, “Don’t fight.” He stood by his friends and apologized on their behalf. Only now did Kalix fully shift his attention to Bernard, his gaze no longer indifferent but investigative.

Despite Bernard’s gentle and polite appearance, Kalix knew he wasn’t as simple as he seemed. Considering Bernard’s close friendship with Jaxson, it was clear they both had duplicity in common.

Kalix spoke to Bernard, “If your two friends apologize for their harsh words, this issue will be resolved.”

“What did you say?! Apologize? Clearly, it’s this girl who’s at fault!” one of the two who spoke harshly retorted. Kalix, focusing on the speaker, didn’t hide the aggression in his eyes. “Don’t want to apologize?” Kalix asked coldly.

Not only did the two feel Kalix’s strong aura, but Carl and his friends did too.
