31. A Good Friend

When Kalix woke up the next morning, he found his phone lying on the side of his pillow, turned off due to a lack of battery. As he went about his morning activities, he recalled what had happened. Kalix was the kind of person who seemed calm when drunk and remained rational, but when alone, he became very emotional and easily offended. Even small things could affect his emotions.

That’s why he avoided getting drunk, but last night was an accident. Previously, he had never experienced a laid-back evening with friends at university. His life had been too challenging, almost devoid of any peace, so he didn’t have close friends during his college days.

“Did I do something weird when I was drunk?” Kalix asked the system. No answer. He thought the system was busy, so he didn’t force an answer. Quietly recalling what happened, some conversations flashed in his mind. Kalix rubbed his sore head from last night’s drinking, it was challenging for him to concentrate now.
