144. Hazel's Gone

After watching Mason's receding back as the elevator carried him away, Glenn pressed his phone and called Yvonne.

A hoarse, panicked voice of Yvonne, seemingly awoken by his call, came through.

"Is there a problem? Are you alright?" Yvonne asked.

"You're talking to who..." Victor's voice echoed from the background, audible to Glenn.

"I'm alright. Sorry to disturb your sleep. It's just that I've got our object," Glenn revealed.

"Object? What object, Glenn? Wait..." Yvonne sounded like she was walking away, perhaps getting a drink, as the sound of water passing through a throat reached Glenn.

"I couldn't think straight earlier. But is the object you're referring to antibodies? How could it be?" Yvonne finally grasped what Glenn was talking about.

"The story is long, but I need you to prepare the isolation process. I'll try to bring it to you by next week," Glenn said.

"Okay," Yvonne replied shortly.
