“Hello, Glenn. Sorry to bother you,” Mr. Zhang started the conversation politely, but his tone revealed his anxiety. “There’s something I need to ask you. It's very important.”

“What about, Mr. Zhang?”

“Did Hazel ever tell you anything? Maybe she overheard something while she was staying here?”

“At your place?” Glenn was fishing for information, suspecting Mr. Zhang had finally reviewed the surveillance footage. But Glenn maintained a nonchalant demeanor.

“Yes, at my place,” Mr. Zhang replied.

“No, not at all. Everything was fine.”

There was a brief silence between them, and Victor quickly approached Glenn, curious. The professor’s call was highly suspicious.

“Here’s the thing, Glenn. On my surveillance camera, it seems Hazel was eavesdropping. This isn't an accusation, but her behavior was quite clear. Can you ask her what she heard?” Mr. Zhang said. The middle-aged man continued, “I don't want Hazel to hear things that aren't her business. This is just a precaution.”
