28. Accusations

The commotion erupted in Smith's mansion that afternoon, with angry shouts and arguments heard from a group of people outside.

Glenn, who initially thought it was the servants joking around, focused his ears to listen, sensing that there was something different from their usual tone.

Indeed, it was the sound of angry shouts that turned into cries of pain. Glenn stood up from his seat in the office and headed towards the front lobby, where the disturbance had occurred.

Some outsiders had pushed their way in, almost into the house, and the houseguards were trying to fend them off but seemed unable to do so.
