"Hm... so you two were going to the office, huh?" Chika asked as she took a sip from the glass filled with orange juice that was served by the owner of the house.

"Yes. Today is not a holiday. So, Audi and I were supposed to go to the office."

Audi grasped Xavier's hand, signaling him not to say anything too harsh.

"It's okay, Chika. You don't need to listen to Xavier's words. Our work can still be taken care of later. Your coming here willingly is exactly what we should prioritize right now."

Audi didn't want to hurt the woman's heart. It was evident from the look on her face that she was starting to get moody after hearing Xavier's sentence that sounded as if she didn't like her best friend from college.

A thin smile also seemed to rise perfectly at the corners of Chika's lips. The woman looked happy because she was welcomed well by Audi.
