Xavier let out a long sigh. He knew Audi wanted to spend time together on this holiday, but he was not at ease if he did not take care of office work.

"Honey, I understand your desire. But that quarterly report is really important. If it's late, it could affect the company's overall performance," Xavier coaxed.

Audi narrowed her eyes. "Can't you do it from home? Why do you have to go to the office?"

"There are some files I need to retrieve from my desk. Also a coordination meeting with the team regarding the report," Xavier made an excuse.

"Can't that meeting be done virtually? You're the owner of the company, Xavier. Just set the schedule next time," Audi argued.

Xavier scratched his head that wasn't itchy. His wife was smart and always gave reasonable arguments.

"Tell you what, how about you come with me to the office? We can have lunch together later," Xavier offered then.
