Chapter five

"Tell me, how?" A curious Natasha asks

"I am tired dear, we will discuss this now. Let's just celebrate this" Gonzalez responded

"Sure, we will" Natasha hugs him again.

"I best take shower" Gonzalez suggested

"You need it, hurry down for I prepared your favorite meal"

"Ooh, I can't wait, I will be down in seconds" Gonzalez promised

As he was in the shower, he thought about all the things that had happened today. Just at the beginning of his day, he had thought the day was over for him before it even began.

And then Mr. Davies, what a life-changing ending to such a bad beginning.

Maybe I should tell Natasha, he thought. No, perhaps he should listen to Mr. Davies on this one, telling Natasha that could wait.

(At the Williams' Residence)

"I told you trying to get her to do this would not go down well with her" Mr. Williams chided

"Leave it to me, I will handle it" Mrs. Williams responded

"Of course, you will, you had better" Mr. Williams warned, knowing how much he would lose, all thanks to his wife's stupid decision.

Had she gone through him before signing the documents, they wouldn't be in this mess. Sometimes, he wonders why he had made her a major shareholder in the company.

"Look, I just need more time, I can convince her" Mrs. Williams assured

"How?" A now enraged Mr. Williams asked

"I know my daughter, she has lived a life of luxury and surely can't survive with that beggar, she will get tired and eventually leave, I just have to trigger it or push the right button, that's all" Mrs. Williams reassured

"I do not ever want to hear that boy's name in my house ever again. First, he takes my daughter and then my family talks about him all day. Do you want him to take over this home too?" Mr. Williams queried

"God forbid, it is just I cannot imagine how he did it, taking our baby from us under our watch and we were too blind to see it all until it happened"

"Enough of all that small talk. I have to take that call, my phone has been ringing since" Mr. Williams complained

"Yes? What! Oh...okay, thank you so much for the heads up"

"Who was that?" Mrs. Williams had asked after he was done with the caller

"My source"

"Okay?"

"Okay?" Mr. Williams repeated

"What did he say? You were quite shocked or rather surprised" Mrs. Williams noted

"Yes, surprised it is" Mr. Williams agreed

"Do I have to beg you to tell me? I am your wife" Mrs. Williams complained

"Seeing how much you messed that deal up, I cannot be so sure to let you in on this" Mr. Williams noted

"Oh, come on. And stop bringing this back up as an excuse, I made a mistake, yes, we all make mistakes. Need I remind you of how you handled Norman's contract that landed us in court?" Mrs. Williams retorted

"Woman, you don't have to bring that up" Mr. Williams chided

"Great, I thought so too. I will expect the same from you in my case. Now, tell me what the problem is"

"I would not call it a problem per se, it looks like an alternative to our problems"

"Okay? Let me hear it, come on, fill me in" Mrs. Williams pushed

"Right, there's a new company out there with great opportunities and funds, seeking another company to partner with, a very good one at that" Mr. Williams dropped

"Wow, we have to get that at all costs" Mrs. Williams added

"Yes, but the market is very competitive" Mr. Williams complained

"Yes, but I have been in the market for years now, I think I can handle the market" Mrs. Williams responded

"I will call the children, and see if they have any ideas, want to join me?" Mrs. Williams added

"I would rather not, see you in bed. Can't you wait till tomorrow?" Mr. Williams asked

"No, I want them to sleep on it and wake up with fresh ideas," Mrs. Williams said and she had just the right plan for it.

She thought of telling her husband about it but he would blatantly refuse. Better to handle this on her own and in her way.

(The Gonzalez's Residence)

"Baby, I would marry you a thousand times in this life and the next and any other life I will be in" Mr. Williams commended, relishing his food.

Another reason why he had thought marrying Natasha was a blessing, he wished she had decided to be a chef, he would offer to help her build the biggest food restaurant in the city.

"You alright, honey?" Gonzalez asked when he noticed a frown on her face

"Yes, just the family call again, it keeps ringing" Natasha complained

"Go on, pick it up. It might be important you know" Gonzalez encouraged

"Come on, go on. And you don't have to pick it here, I understand" Gonzalez insisted

"Took you long enough" Sylvester chided, he was always the first to complain about things like that. Sometimes, Natasha wonders if they are really of the same blood.

"Some much for being a man" Natasha retorted

Turning to her mother, she says,

"Ma, I thought we were done? We finished this discussion earlier"

"No, we didn't. You didn't let me finish" Mrs. Williams answered

"Let you finish? Finish what exactly? What mother would suggest her married daughter abort her child? Every mother's dream is to hold her grandchildren, not abort them. But I guess that isn't your dream now, is it?" An enraged Natasha says

"Of course, it is my dream to hold my grandchildren, your children but not from that boy. Honey, he blackmailed us and is trying to use you to exploit our wealth" Mrs. Elizabeth continued

"That aside, there's a new company seeking a partner, this would solve all our financial issues at the company and perhaps stop your having to abort that baby" Mrs. Williams added

"Glad to see you finally agreed it is a baby" Natasha replied

"What does the person that gets this deal to enjoy?" Sylvester chipped in

"That person becomes the C.E.O of our company" Mrs. Williams dropped.
