Addison looked at the man who just arrived. He looked young, she expected someone as old as Federico.

“Are you sure you’re not followed?”

That was Federico’s first question. He didn’t even ask if the man was fine or not.

She guessed it’s just how everything works for them. Federico mentioned death, and the best thing to deal with death was not to get attached to the people around you.

So, if death comes, it won’t be that hard to let go of the person whom you’re not emotionally attached with.

The man named Ryzen smirked.

“No, fucker. She Addison, Salvatorre’s friend.”

“Hi,” Addison offered her hand for a shake. “I’m Addison Harper.”

The man stared at her longer than he should, it was like he was trying to remember something.

“Wait, I think I know you. You’re that woman in the pages, right? You’re a writer in the Sentinel, am I right?”

There was excitement in his voice when he recognized Addison.

She nodded and gave him a smile.
