Convince Him

The air thickened as the two meet eyes. Richard wears a smile on his face before approaching him.

“Thank you, Damien. I feel honored to be invited.”

“Please,” Damien beckoned to the seat beside Clarissa. “Make yourself comfortable.”

Richard walks towards Clarissa, who immediately scoots away from him, not wanting to be any inch close to that man. Despite being hurt, Richard did not really make it obvious. Damien glanced at the two’s awkward interaction and smiles at them both. There was something sinister about the way his lips curled.

Damien stretched out his hand to his secretary who gave him a brown envelope containing their sample contract. He immediately pushes it towards the pair and then crosses his legs before speaking.

“This is a sample of the contract.” He states. “I’ll have you read them first. That way, you’ll know the extent of how much you can convince me to save your company.”

Richard leans to take the envelope and then glanced at his wife before opening it. Claris
