Chapter 109

A day went by, then another and another…

And not a single text call or email from Chloe.

With each day that slipped past, Sean's heart broke and repaired im that same day.

Broke into pieces because he didn't hear from her that day and repaired because he came up with some lie about why she didn't, hoping and eagerly anticipating that she would the next day.

That hope slowly dwindled if he was honest to himself, tapering off to a trickle before it finally died out…and with it, his heart.

How could she not be bothered to respond?
