Chapter 115

Rebecca's eyes bulged when Sean kissed her and she froze in place, not sure how to act or what to do. Sean senses the resistance and immediately backpedaled, thinking he read the room wrong and made a mistake. Groaning, he slapped a hand over a face briefly closing his eyes in shame. “Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me. I shouldn't have done that.” His hands were raised, his eyes filled with apologies. “Believe me when I say, I had no intentions of doing that when I invited you over. I-”

Rebecca's cool touch on his skin calmed him down, stopping him from rambling. “It's fine, Sean.” She bit her lip, not sure if she should say anything more. Should she tell him that her heart sang for joy when their lips touched and all she wanted was more?

Should she tell him that the only reason why she froze up wasn't because she was disgusted or repulsed but due to surprise?

Unfortunately, the pause went on for too long making things awkward so Sean decided to retreat.
