Chapter 134

The Day Before

“What are you doing?” Rebecca’s long-time friend Ravi asked, plopping down a bowl of frozen yogurt with two spoons.

“Hmmm?” She sighed, scrolling through her phone aimlessly while she waited for someone's message to pop up.

One person in particular.

Involuntarily, another sigh escaped her lips making Ravi roll her eyes skyward before snatching the phone from her arms. “You've got to stop staring at the phone all day like a lovesick loon. He's not going to reply to your texts either way.”

She reached for the phone but Ravi was smarter. “But what if he replies now? I might miss it!”

“What I'll miss is you whining over a guy that barely likes you, Becca!”

“Not this again.” Rebecca moaned, covering her face with her hands. “I've told you this countless times, Ravi, you weren't there in Greece…we shared something special.”

“Is that what he told you or what you're using to delude yourself?” She could feel Ravi’s intense side eyes.

“I don't even know why I bother to explain
