Chapter 22

Sean arrived at the headquarters, immediately escorted up to his office where his client was waiting.

Rebecca was too good at her job, keeping the client entertained until he arrived.

After apologizing for the time wasted, they got down to business Sean managed to convince the man to give in to their project.

Time flew past quickly and two hours later, they sealed the deal after signing the papers, Sean had his man safely escort him down to his car.

Everywhere was quiet, the silence eating at him. It was way past closing hours, and Rebecca left shortly after he arrived.

Now that there was no one to impress, Sean pulled off his tie and jacket, unbuttoning his shirt so he could breathe, contemplating if he needed to leave.

While he had a big and beautiful house, being there all alone reminded him how empty it was.

No one other than his housekeeper has ever visited and it made him sad on some level.
