Chapter 45

“Come in.” Caesar rumbled, his glasses perched on his nose like a strict headmaster.

Moriah walked in, standing close to the door. “You called me.”

She stood ramrod straight, staring into space until Caesar was ready to talk. Dressed in matching designer tops and pants, finishing up the look with a floor-length nude coat, Moriah's hair was slicked back into a low bun at the nap of her neck, a light makeup was on her face.

She looked good, more dressed up than usual but then again, it wasn't every day that the head of the family asked to see you.

Finally, Caesar peered over his glasses taking in her appearance in one swift look. “Cone in, and shut the door behind you.”

Moriah did as instructed, crossing her legs over each other with her hands folded on her lap.

She didn't dare utter a word even though curiosity was burning a hole in her tongue.

When she got the message this morning from her secretary, she had to check again making sure she wasn't wrong.
