Chapter 57

Lewis Capaldi's ‘Let Me Go was blasting through Sean's headphones as he circled the block one last time.

His top was drenched with sweat and some was dripping down his face. Even his headband was soaked.

His legs screamed of exhaustion but he continued running, pumping his muscles harder with each step he covered.

Unable to sleep throughout the night, tossing and turning, Sean eventually got up to work a bit.

The restlessness he felt persisted and two minutes after 6, he shoved his feet into his Favour sneakers and went on a jog.

An hour, twenty minutes, and four laps around the neighborhood later he could feel the energy coming back to him.

Things became centered once more, and it didn't feel like he was losing a grip on reality.

Not to mention, his playlist was inspiring him to push harder.

Unfortunately, an incoming call interrupted his flow and Sean groaned.

He cut it off early, knowing it was bound to happen.
