The dark aura that was lingering in the place slowly disappeared. The skeleton soldiers went back to the ground like they were sucked by something from below. Their screams and roars were heard, until it became so quiet. “Did we really defeat him?” Archris asked Jake before falling on his knees. His magic energy had depleted already to the point that healing magic couldn’t do anything anymore. There were black marks below his eyes, and his lips were already chapped. Jake rushed to help his former student. He quickly cast a healing spell. It helped in healing the physical damage that Arcrhris received from the fight but that did not bring back his lost magic power. “Did we really finish him?” Archris asked again while Jake was helping him to sit on the ground. “Is it finished?”Jake nodded his head. “It’s done. The three servants of Tharanos are now gone. And all of that was thanks to you guys.” He answered before looking at Archris then to the knights who were walking towards them.
The news about what was happening in the city reached the office of the President, then through news, and social media, the whole world started to be aware of what was happening there. The leaders of different countries called for a meeting, and they questioned everyone from the country about the situation. They blamed the President of the country where Jake was in for hiding the truth about these people who possessed special magic powers. But little did they know that there were also people who can use magic in their countries. And those people started to move to the city where the fight was happening. It’s not that they knew what was going on, but they rather felt that they were needed in that place. Jake gave assignments to everyone. He divided the people they have into six, but he didn’t ask them to fight the evil gods head on. He asked them to just observe the area and report what was going on in each place where the evil gods were located. “Have you reached Lyca?” Archris
Dudgara chuckled as he stretched his arms on his sides as well as his neck. Then the monster in human form locked his gaze on Jake. He looked at him slowly from head to toe, and once again laughed. “I don’t know how to put my anger into action or words,” he said. His eyes were still locked on Jake. “I can’t comprehend how long it has been since I breathed fresh air. And that’s because of you!”Jake exhaled and stared at the man. “Who summoned you? Who broke the seal?! Was it Thalara?”The evil god smirked. “Too many questions!” he angrily replied. “I don’t care who broke that seal! What is important now is that I am here, together with my brothers!” He stopped, frowned and shook his head. “But you are here again!” “Are you that afraid of me?” Jake mocked the man. “Well, I can’t blame you. After what I did to you, I don’t expect you to like me.” “How dare you?!” Dudgara exclaimed in anger. “But this time, I will make sure that I will have the final laugh! I won’t let you go away!”J
Dudgara guffawed as he looked at Bruce who was on the floor screaming, and holding his wounded and injured leg. Then he slowly turned to Jake and smiled. The blue flames around him started to disappear as well. “The time you sealed me was just pure luck, Jake,” the evil god of sloth said, grinning at Jake. “Now, you’ll have a taste of…”But before Dudgara was able to finish what he was about to say, black liquid dripped from his mouth and black marks for his veins appeared all over his body, and they turned his skin darker and darker. He looked at his chest and there, he saw Jake holding the golden spear with Voragor’s aura which was pierced in his chest and penetrated to his back. Behind Jake was Bruce, standing and unharmed. And behind him was Hansel, and his whole body was engulfed by the blue flame.“H-How did you…”“Simple. I used illusions,” Jake said while smiling.“Illusions?”“Ah! I learned this from one of the servants of Tharanos. He could create illusions that looked rea
“Lyca! Lyca! Wake up!” Lyca slowly opened her eyes. She could still hear the voice calling her echoing, but her vision was blurred. She took a deep breath, but that made her cough after sniffing the metallic scent of blood. She felt a dull pain in her shoulders. She tried to pull her arms, only to hear the clanking of chains above her. She then realized that her hands were chained on a concrete ceiling and her feet on the ground. She looked around but all she saw was concrete walls and a door made out of bamboo. The bamboo looked fresh and that was an indication that it was newly built. “What the hell happened?” she asked herself as she kept on looking around. Until she remembered what happened before losing consciousness and was brought in there. She remembered finding Thalara and a man she was not familiar with. The man was tall but she didn’t see his face. She remembered getting into a physical fight with Thalara and some skeleton soldiers with the knights with her. Then they
Jake and the others started to roam around the place and they saw what Lyca had smelled moments ago— different creatures from Eldramoria. Not just creatures, sinister ones, with scary features and traits. And even Jake was shocked to see those there.“What the hell is Thalara thinking?” he asked while they walked around. “Why is she summoning these creatures? And she even unsealed weak mages from a long time ago.”“Well, your ex-wife is really unpredictable,” Bruce commented. “That’s one of her traits and I remember you telling that when we were at war in Eldramoria.”Jake did not answer. He continued to walk and as he remembered the time that Bruce mentioned. It was the time they were camping before an attack, and he remembered sitting with Thalara in front of a bonfire, when he said that in front of every warrior there. He knew that Thalara had gotten evil already. But also, Thalara was the only one, maybe the second one to make him feel alive and special. And he still couldn’t com
“If there’s something I will not forget about you, that is you don’t really consider anyone as your friend,” Damascus said. His body and leg armor was completed and the helmet was starting to form from his neck upwards. “Are you reminiscing right now?” Jake asked while looking back at his old friend. “It doesn’t suit you.”Damascus chuckled. “I don’t know. But I just want to tell you. One of your weaknesses. Yes, you’re strong. But if you tend to do things on your own, there will be a bigger possibility that you lose.”Jake didn’t answer. He just gritted his teeth as he looked at Damascus. He could not deny what his friend told him. He would rather do things on his own. Even with Thalara and Damascus on his side before, he would still choose to do what he decided to do on his own.“You have comrades,” Damascus said. “If you’ll not trust people again, then I won’t blame you. But Jake. Not everyone is like us. Remember that.”Damascus then screamed as the helmet was completed. Huge ho
Jake sat beside Damascus’ not moving body. His head and shoulders were down, and he kept on sighing. There were no tears coming out, but the fury in his heart kept on growing. And it was greater than the sadness that he was feeling at the moment. He touched Damascus’ shoulder, hoping that he would still feel a bit of life from his former friend. But there was nothing. The body in front of him was lifeless. He stood up and without saying anything or looking at Lyca, he headed to the stairs leading down. His face was dark, and his eyes were glaring. There was also small lighting surrounding his body and fists. And the most notable of all was that the Aetherlock was shining brightly.Lyca and the two knights could feel Jake’s fury, and that stopped them from saying anything. They just followed the Archmage until they reached the final floor of that dungeon. It was a long pathway and on the sides were also cages filled with ominous creatures in Eldramoria. However, the floor contained
