Chapter 41

Jake cast a binding spell on the one with the gun and the one with the long hair. Then he walked in front of the huge, bald man.

“Don’t you remember me, huh?” the man with a scar asked while grinning and glaring at him. “For sure you know me, you dumb kid!”

He stared at the man as he tried to remember him. The man’s face was really familiar, but he couldn’t tell where he saw him.

“I am Rex Allen,” the man introduced himself, then groaned as he pulled himself up to sit up. “And I was the top pharmaceutical scientist in your father’s laboratory. I was behind some of the greatest drugs that he released, but he took all the credit, and I took all the blame.”

He paused for a while as he kept on staring at the man. Until he remembered an incident when he was a child where there was a scandal involving a certain drug from their company that killed hundreds of people.
