Dario chuckled, lowering his head briefly before lifting his gaze back to Kent’s father.

“Your threats,” he said, his lips curling into a faint smirk, “mean very little.”

Kent’s brows furrowed deeply at Dario’s words.

His tone was calm, almost bored. He locked his steely gaze on Kent’s father, showing not a hint of concern. “You can rely on whoever you want,” he said. “It will only change little to nothing.”

“Now, leave,” he concluded with a commanding tone and sat down calmly.

“You are going to regret this,” Kent began but Dario didn’t bother and paid him no attention.

Instead he turned to his bodyguard. “Get rid of these pests,” he ordered dismissively.

Kent clenched his fists tighter, his jaw tight with suppressed anger, while his father adjusted his coat with deliberate slowness and stood up.

The bodyguards urged them forward, and escorted them till they were completely out of the building.

The moment they got outside, Kent stormed a few steps forward before kicking a nearb

Meanwhile, before Richard arrived at the real estate center, Lydia’s friend, Layla, was there chatting with one of the real estate agents, Giola. Giola’s face was a mix of gratitude and excitement, her eyes sparkling as she spoke. “Layla, I honestly don’t know if I can thank you enough,” she said, her voice warm with sincerity. “The potential clients you referred to me last month? Absolute gems!” A confident smile spread across Layla’s lips.“In fact, one of them already closed on that luxury apartment near the beach,” Giola said, her hands clasped together, and smiling brightly. “The commission I will make will be huge!”Layla brushed a strand of hair off her shoulder. “C’mon it’s nothing. Some of us are just blessed with great connections,” she said, her words dripping with pride. Giola let out a happy sigh, and looked up. “I’m particularly hopeful about a client I’m expecting today. He’s a young man interested in that high-end villa we just listed. If he buys it…”She paused,

The new agent was a bit confused, but Giola and Layla were gone before she could ask any questions. She turned to Richard, her confused look replaced with a polite, professional smile. “Good day sir, I’m Tesla. Please come with me” she said and led him to a private meeting room. On the other hand, Giola let out a sigh of relief, traces of anger still lingering in the furrow of her brows. She turned to Layla and sighed, her voice tinged with exhaustion. “Thank you for saving me from whatever nonsense that man had in store. Honestly, I don’t have time to waste nor the patience for rubbish.”Layla smirked. “Of course, darling. I can’t sit and watch you waste your time on that crook. You wouldn’t believe the number of people he’s duped…” She hissed, utterly disgusted. “The first day I met him, he tried to scam a five star restaurant where my friends and I went to eat. You need to see how he was beat up and thrown out!..”“The audacity of someone like him walking in here and pretending

Layla, on the other end of the call, was confused. “What are you talking about?”“The client… the young man… he wasn’t a scam. He even paid the full amount upfront. Layla, I just missed a very huge opportunity,” she blurted, her frustration spilling over. The line went silent. “Layla?” Giola called, her voice rising with urgency.Still no response.“Layla!” she repeated, her tone sharper.“Yes.. yes,” Layla answered, shock evident in her voice. “Giola, are you sure of this?”Giola exhaled sharply through her nose, trying to hold back the surge of anger bubbling inside her. How can she be asking me that? Giola thought. “Yes I am sure,” she said with a controlled tone, trying her best not to lash out. “Lydia, Richard just bought a villa!” Layla blurted to Lydia who was seated next to her. “Giola, please I’ll call you later,” she said and hung up the phone. Giola’s eyes widened in shock, her jaw dropping. “Did she just hang up?? Wow! I’m finished.” Meanwhile, Lydia’s brows furrowed

Richard stepped out of the cab, his gaze lifting to the imposing structure of his newly purchased villa. He looked around and let out a sigh of relief. “Finally,” he muttered, smiling brightly, The grand, modern facade was a blend of sleek glass panels and soft beige stones with trimmed hedges. And at the center was also a beautiful fountain with flowers around. He grabbed his luggage from the car boot, paid and thanked the driver, before walking to the front door. As the door opened, he couldn’t deny the wave of calm that washed over him. It was ‘Peace’. Finally. The living room had luxurious furniture, high ceilings, and sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. He exhaled deeply, feeling satisfied with his new home. The quiet was a stark contrast to the constant tension at Lydia’s home. No more Lydia. No more Lady Wilson. he thought, his lips curling into a small, relieved smile. After exploring a bit of the villa, Richard finally settled in. Moments late

She hissed, her voice low but venomous.Richard’s brows furrowed.“You promised not to take back the antique,” she said, narrowing her eyes. “Yet you went behind our back, collected it from him and sold it! And the next minute, you went to lavish the money on an expensive villa?”“Or you thought we wouldn’t know? Don’t you have a conscience at all??”“Not you showing off now and living like royalty,” Lydia chimed in, stepping closer, her brows furrowed in disdain. “You’re the most selfish person I’ve ever seen.”“Richard, how could you?” her mother continued. “After everything we’ve done for you as a family?? Shame on you!” she spat, her tone dripping with contempt. “Shame on you, Richard. Shame on you!!” she shouted, reaching to poke him in the face with her finger. Richard leaned backwards to avoid her finger, his brows furrowing deeply. Though he was surprised by their misunderstanding, he remained calm. But a faint trace of annoyance was evident on his face due to Lady Wilson’s

“Great. Thank you,” Richard said and ended the call. Sliding his phone into his pocket, he walked back into the living room. “I apologize, but I need to head out. Something urgent has come up,” he informed with a polite tone. Sir Wilson rose from his seat, nodding understandingly. “No problem, Richard. I’ve got some things to take care of myself.”Lady Wilson and Lydia let out a sigh of relief, got up and murmured a few pleasantries. With that, everyone left the villa. Richard arrived at the restaurant in no time to meet with Mr Sterling. He found his way to the private room number stated in the address and knocked on the door.“Come in,” Mr Sterling’s voice came through from inside, calm and composed. Richard pushed the door open to find Mr Sterling seated at a round table, a small opened wooden box resting in front of him. “Ah, Mr Richard!” Mr Sterling greeted warmly, gesturing toward the chair across from him. “Please, have a seat.”Richard hurried to the table, his eyes lit

As Richard stepped out of the private room, a loud commotion drew his attention in the hallway. “Leave me alone! I’ll make sure you lose your jobs today!” Several security guards were dragging a man towards him, who trashed and shouted at the top of his lungs. Richard’s brows knitted together as he slowed his steps, a wave of familiarity washing over him. “Isn’t that Lydia’s cousin, Jordan?” he muttered under his breath, stretching his neck for a better view. His eyes narrowed. “It’s him,” his voice was low but laced with displeasure. The memories of the sneers, the mockery and the insults Jordan had rained on him at Sir Wilson’s birthday party immediately flooded his mind. “How could I forget his arrogance or his face after all that?” Richard kissed his teeth, shaking his head, his face twisting in disapproval. Jordan’s voice rang out, loud and enraged. “I said let go of me!” he yelled at the guards. “Have you forgotten who I am? Even Dustin, who is the owner of th

Richard arched an eyebrow, his expression still calm but tinged with a hint of amusement. He glanced at the security guards who looked uneasy after hearing Jordan’s claims. They didn’t know whether to go for Richard as well or not. Jordan, growing impatient with the guards’ hesitation to do something, sneered and snapped, “What are you waiting for? An invitation to his fan club?“Richard chuckled, shaking his head. “See who I was considering to help,” he muttered to himself.Initially Richard was considering whether or not to step in and help Jordan, but after seeing his behavior, he completely lost interest. He gave Jordan a final shake of his head, a mix of pity and disdain in his eyes, before turning to leave. The guards exchanged uneasy glances as they watched Richard leave, uncertainty still etched across their faces. They didn’t recognize Richard, and after Jordan’s claims, they were torn between stopping Richard or not. One of them cleared his throat and leaned towards t

He took a slender pair of forceps and used them to pick up a small, round pill from a compartment lined with velvet. He needed to administer the Curexol pill to the boy. But the boy was unconscious, how would he swallow?Richard assessed the situation in his mind for a moment. Just then, he crushed the pill into a fine powder, mixing it with a small amount of sterile water from a vial in his kit. With a syringe, he drew the liquid mixture before gently removing the tubing from the boy’s nostril. “He can’t breathe without it. What are you doing?!” Christopher’s wife shouted but her husband held her back.Richard carefully tilted the boy’s head slightly to the side to prevent choking as the child’s chest heaved faintly, his body instinctively struggling to draw air.“Breathe,” he murmured in the ears of the boy. And with delicate precision, he inserted t

Moments later, Richard arrived at Christopher’s house in the latter’s luxurious ride. “We’re here,” Christopher informed as the driver turned into the driveway, leading them to the front of the house. He had brought Richard to see his son, intending for Richard to gain a deeper understanding of the boy’s condition. Seconds later, the car came to a halt and both men alighted. “Please come with me,” Christopher led Richard into the room where his son lay. They walked into a large room, the beeps of medical monitors echoing softly in the room. The young boy was still on the bed, his frail body barely lifting with each shallow breath. There was also a nasal cannula fixed in his nose for delivering oxygen directly to him. His skin was very pale and his sunken cheeks made him look even fragile, with dark circles underneath his closed eyes. Next to the boy was a woman seated. She was lost in thoughts when they walked in that she didn’t even realize. “Darling,” Christopher tapped he

“I will reveal the doctor’s identity to you…” Daniel suddenly stepped forward and said, his words cutting through the tension in the air. Everyone’s eyes snapped at him, their expressions a mix of surprise and disbelief. Is he okay in the head? They thought. How could he utter such a statement right after grandpa’s declaration?Sir Vester turned to face him, his eyes burning with a seething anger that was very evident. Janae’s brow furrowed with shock and concern, while Collin’s lips parted as if to say something, but no words came out. Delilah, however, was the first to react. Her eyes widened for a brief moment before a sly smile tugged at the corner of her lips. “Really?” she asked.“…if you promise to leave my family alone,” Daniel added, his voice firm but strained, as though he was weighing the consequences of his words. He could not shake the feeling of everyone’s eyes on him either. Delilah’s smile widened into a grin. She arched one eyebrow, and purred, “well, well… Oka

Back in the estate courtyard, Delilah expressed her gratitude to Janae and her family. Her lips curled into a gracious smile as her gaze swept over the private area that had been prepared for her and her entourage. The lavishness of the area spoke volume of the effort Janae’s family had put in, especially for an impromptu visit. The large table alone was set with an abundance of delicacies; exquisite wines, rare fruits, and curated dishes befitting nothing less than the status of a war goddess. “Truly,” she said, her voice smooth and warm, “your hospitality is remarkable. It’s no small thing to welcome a guest… particularly one who arrives unannounced.”Her smile deepened, a clear air of authority mingling with her gratitude. “To have gone to such lengths on my behalf is beyond what I could have expected. You’ve really outdone yourselves.”Though her words seemed sincere, they carried an undertone that made it clear she accepted their efforts as only natural for someone of her sta

He had been anticipating his response all evening anyway. But Christopher didn’t say any other word, his eyes darting around as he suddenly realized his voice was a bit loud, drawing the attention of everyone, including Delilah. He quickly looked around the room, and seeing the curious stares fixed on him, his cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. He met Delilah’s gaze and quickly looked away, holding back the lump that formed in his throat. ‘Why was he loud?’ Janae thought to herself, her stomach tightening as Christopher’s voice echoed through the room, a little too loud for her liking. She bit her lower lip, anxiety creeping up her spine. In lite

Delilah stepped out of her red Mercedes Benz, her heels clicking against the polished stone as Samuel followed closely behind her. Behind them was her entourage including a procession of guards dressed in coordinated black suits marching in disciplined silence. As they moved, their footsteps echoed faintly in the open space, announcing their presence. Delilah’s black evening dress flowed gracefully around her as she strode forward majestically, her sharp gaze scanning the surrounding courtyard.“Look! She’s here!” Daniel whispered in awe, his voice barely audible over the collective gasp that rippled through the few guests nearby. The entire family moved quickly to greet Delilah with great respect. Janae stepped forward first and lowered her gaze, bowing slightly. “Welcome Goddess Delilah,” she said warmly, “it’s an honor to have you here. Meanwhile, Delilah was still seated in her car, engaged in a conversation with Samuel Orchid. “Do you think he’ll be in attendance?” she said to him, her keen gaze fixed ahead. “Who?”“The healer who treated Sir Vester. Why do you think I’m here? He’s the sole reason why I’m attending this event. I have to find him,” she turned to Samuel. Desperation was evident in her eyes as she spoke. Finding someone had never been a difficult task for her, and this wouldn’t be either. “If I can’t get my hand on the miracle doctor himself, I will definitely find this particular healer,” she added with finality.Samuel let out a deep sigh, his eyes narrowing in doubt. “I still find it hard to believe that someone could cure an illness the mighty Doctor Ben failed to treat,” he said, shaking his head.“Right, it’s unbelievable,” Delilah said. “But Doctor Ben himself witnessed everything in person. Even he was in awe… this healer is exceptional.”“What if he’s the miracle doctor?” Samuel suggeste

Richard stopped Christopher gently, quickly blocking his path. He had this pressing feeling that Christopher was hiding the truth. And he knew his instincts always turned out to be true. ‘Is he lying because he might also need the herb for a medical condition?’ Richard thought to himself, his brows lifting. “Mr Christopher,” Richard began but got interrupted by Janae. “Are you sure you don’t have the herb?” she asked, stepping closer. “I was almost completely sure you had it.”“Or didn’t you?” She added, evidently confused. Christopher sighed, almost getting upset. “Ms Janae, if I say I don’t have it, then I don’t have it,” he said, trying to sound as polite as possible. “Why would I lie? “Maybe because you might need it for a medical condition,” Richard said, his words quick as he gazed at him intently. Richard’s speculation shook Christopher because he knew it was true. Now even if he tried, he couldn’t exactly mask his pretense.“Mr…” he inhaled deeply and continued. “Mr Ric
