He tried with all of his strength to free himself. But his bravado was short lived as one guard successfully twisted his arm behind his back, forcing him to yelp in pain.

Jordan gritted his teeth, trying to fight back but his strength was no match.

Within seconds, his wrists were locked tightly behind him, and he gave up, groaning in defeat.

Richard didn’t move, his smirk widening ever so slightly as he watched Jordan’s attempts at bravado crumble into utter humiliation.

The head security loomed over him, his expression cold, “You’ve had enough, young man. Stay down.”

By now, Richard still hadn’t contacted Dustin. He waited until the security guards had taught Jordan a lesson before finally deciding to place the call.

He reached for his phone and dialed Dustin.

His tone was calm but carried an unmistakable authority. “Good day Dustin.”

Dustin answered immediately, his voice warm and respectful. “Good day, Mr Richard. It’s a pleasure to hear from you. How may I assist you?”

Later in the day, Lydia arrived at Richard’s villa. Her father had instructed her to drive over and pick up Richard for the Vester’s banquet that was happening tonight. Upon hearing a knock on the door, Richard quickly went to get the door. Lydia strode in with confidence like she owned the place. She took a seat and crossed her legs before turning her condescending gaze to Richard. “My dad asked me to pick you up for the banquet,” she said and rolled her eyes. “When will you be ready?”Richard sighed internally. It’d have been best if Sir Wilson just didn’t bother, he thought. “Let me get dressed. I’ll be right back,” he said, turning to head to his room. “Please hurry up and don’t waste my time,” she called after him, her voice sharp to ensure he heard her. “Tch”After a while, Richard returned downstairs, ready to leave. The moment he walked in, she stood up, eyed him with intense disdain, and headed for the car. Richard, used to her behavior, didn’t mind her and quietly fo

Lydia’s satisfaction grew as she watched from a distance, her lips curling into a smug grin. Her eyes lit with joy and amusement as she leaned slightly to get a better view, ready to relish every second. She laughed and muttered, “He deserves worse in fact...”However, after the security’s words, Richard didn’t flinch or argue. Instead, he spoke in his usual calm tone. “Check with Janae Vester.”The guard’s expression immediately shifted, his brows furrowing. Was it possible for an average looking man to personally know Janae Vester? He gave it a thought but dismissed it. It was almost impossible. But for a second, he thought that what if… what if Richard was familiar with her?Would Richard have called her by her name like that if they weren’t familiar with each other? In mere seconds, he weighed the situation and decided to play safe. He picked up his radio and spoke quickly, “Confirm a Mr Richard Valkar with Ms Janae. Over.”A short moment later, the radio crackled with a resp

Lydia’s disdainful gaze lingered on Richard till he disappeared into the crowd.“He didn’t even take on your offer. When will you give up on him?” She said to her father and strode away, looking for Cane in the crowd. When she found Cane and realized he was now alone, she scurried to him, her heart beaming with anticipated excitement and victory. “Cane?” Lydia called softly, rubbing his arm from behind to get his attention. Cane turned, his expression flickering with mild annoyance as he faced Lydia, who greeted him with a bright smile. Shockingly, his reaction was one Lydia didn’t expect.“What is it, Lydia?” he asked, his tone clipped and his gaze glancing over her as though disgusted by her presence.Lydia hesitated briefly, caught off guard by Cane’s impatience and the unmistakable disdain in his voice. A tinge of confusion crossed her face, but she quickly masked it with a brighter smile. Her cheerful demeanor remained intact as she started, “How are you enjoying the ceremon

She chuckled and continued, “Aw you must’ve forgotten. Did you think you wouldn’t pay the price for lying to us about knowing Janae Vester the other day at the club??”Richard’s brows relaxed. “Cane here is very close to Janae, and trust me, he’s going to crush you without even lifting a finger,” she tilted her head, her expression feigning pity. “Do you have any idea what’s coming your way now?”As Lydia continued emphasizing Cane’s family’s formidable influence and taunting Richard about the consequences in store for him, her voice rose with self assured confidence.Expecting Cane to echo her words or, at the very least, step in to address Richard with disdain, she turned to him.But when her gaze landed on him, her expression faltered. Cane was frozen, his lips parted slightly as if in shock. His widened eyes were locked on Richard with his mind racing as he stared at the man before him. In his mind was a rollercoaster of thoughts, trying to confirm if Richard was truly who he t

Lydia glared at Richard, waiting for a response. She couldn’t understand why Cane, instead of causing trouble for Richard, showed respect to him. None of this made sense to her. Had they met before? Are they acquainted? Even if they are, why did he bow deeply to Richard and speak so politely??She was almost going crazy. She recalled how Dustin also acted towards Richard at the antique store with high deference out of nowhere. She could vividly remember how he looked very afraid of getting on Richard’s bad side. What’s going on? Is there something I don’t know about? She thought to herself. She quickly snapped out of her thoughts and averted her gaze to Richard. “What the hell just happened?” she asked him again with a calmer tone. At this point, she needed answers. Desperately.Richard glanced at her with a blank expression. He was barely moved by her bewildered state. Uninterested in engaging her any further, he walked away. He needed to find Janae after all. Richard stopped Christopher gently, quickly blocking his path. He had this pressing feeling that Christopher was hiding the truth. And he knew his instincts always turned out to be true. ‘Is he lying because he might also need the herb for a medical condition?’ Richard thought to himself, his brows lifting. “Mr Christopher,” Richard began but got interrupted by Janae. “Are you sure you don’t have the herb?” she asked, stepping closer. “I was almost completely sure you had it.”“Or didn’t you?” She added, evidently confused. Christopher sighed, almost getting upset. “Ms Janae, if I say I don’t have it, then I don’t have it,” he said, trying to sound as polite as possible. “Why would I lie? “Maybe because you might need it for a medical condition,” Richard said, his words quick as he gazed at him intently. Richard’s speculation shook Christopher because he knew it was true. Now even if he tried, he couldn’t exactly mask his pretense.“Mr…” he inhaled deeply and continued. “Mr Ric

Meanwhile, Delilah was still seated in her car, engaged in a conversation with Samuel Orchid. “Do you think he’ll be in attendance?” she said to him, her keen gaze fixed ahead. “Who?”“The healer who treated Sir Vester. Why do you think I’m here? He’s the sole reason why I’m attending this event. I have to find him,” she turned to Samuel. Desperation was evident in her eyes as she spoke. Finding someone had never been a difficult task for her, and this wouldn’t be either. “If I can’t get my hand on the miracle doctor himself, I will definitely find this particular healer,” she added with finality.Samuel let out a deep sigh, his eyes narrowing in doubt. “I still find it hard to believe that someone could cure an illness the mighty Doctor Ben failed to treat,” he said, shaking his head.“Right, it’s unbelievable,” Delilah said. “But Doctor Ben himself witnessed everything in person. Even he was in awe… this healer is exceptional.”“What if he’s the miracle doctor?” Samuel suggeste

Delilah stepped out of her red Mercedes Benz, her heels clicking against the polished stone as Samuel followed closely behind her. Behind them was her entourage including a procession of guards dressed in coordinated black suits marching in disciplined silence. As they moved, their footsteps echoed faintly in the open space, announcing their presence. Delilah’s black evening dress flowed gracefully around her as she strode forward majestically, her sharp gaze scanning the surrounding courtyard.“Look! She’s here!” Daniel whispered in awe, his voice barely audible over the collective gasp that rippled through the few guests nearby. The entire family moved quickly to greet Delilah with great respect. Janae stepped forward first and lowered her gaze, bowing slightly. “Welcome Goddess Delilah,” she said warmly, “it’s an honor to have you here. Thank you for gracing us with your presence tonight.”“Thank you, Janae,” she said, offering a small and approving nod. “Congratulations on su

“Ehhh!!” She screamed in shock, awe and excitement as her eyes darted to the rest of her family members. “Richard is the Supreme Commander??”Sir Vester was beyond stunned. He had zero idea. The Vester family were now back to their villa. Though, the air between the family was still thick with tension as Collin was yet to clear his name off the accusation of his father. And Sir Vester was not ready to listen to his baseless claims. But the public scrutiny was over, and Collin’s name was now cleared after he made a public apology. The antidotes Richard had provided worked perfectly well and everyone was now in good health. Josh, on the other hand, was now in police custody facing trial. The family members were utterly stunned in their seats as their eyes darted around at each other in the living room. Even though Sir Vester knew of Richard’s great martial arts abilities, he never would have expected that Richard would be filling such a great position. The position was only filled

She had happened to see everything play out.She had seen the impossible. Her heart pounded, as her eyes widened. Do you even know how to wield a sword, or did they just hand you one and hope for the best?” He asked, making the others around him burst into laughter. “They weak as fuck!”“Haha. I expected more, can’t lie.”A Kora soldier gritted his teeth in pain, panting as he barely blocked an incoming strike. “You talk too much,” he spat, forcing himself to his feet. The Ashton warrior smirked, effortlessly pushing him back. “And you fight too little.” Without wasting time, he sent the Kora soldier crashing to the ground, the tip of his blade pressing against his throat. “Run. If you want to live.” But the Kora soldier refused to move. He knew this was the end for him as he had no ounce of strength left in him. He spat “I’d rather die than flee.” “Suit yourself,” the Ashton warrior said, raising his sword— —only to be met with a deadly slash from Richard, who appeared in a flash, his blade

“In the light of that, I have three special guests here to meet you all,” he said with a bright smile. Everyone began to look around for the guests. And just then, the steel door opened and three foreign commanders walked in. They were dressed like commanders but in different uniforms. Everyone turned to look at the three figures who had just entered. Their uniforms were foreign and their faces were unfamiliar. A murmur of confusion rippled through the ranks. Who were they?Had Richard brought in commanders to train them? If so, what was the point? Training was important, but they didn’t have the luxury of time. They thought. There was no drill, no technique, no strategy they could master in the little time left that would make a real difference against Ashton’s overwhelming forces. They turned their confused glances back to Richard, but he remained calm, his expression unreadable. When the commanders reached before Richard, they bowed deeply in reverence. Richard returned

Then, as if the very walls of the hall could feel the shift in power, every warrior moved as one. “We swear our allegiance!”Their voices thundered in unison, shaking the foundation of the building. Boots slammed against the floor as they reinforced their salute, their fists striking their chests in a display of unwavering loyalty.“To our Supreme Commander.
