Chapter 13

He arrives at the living room to find his dad still watching the TV. With a confused face, he walks over to him and sits on the couch beside him, then looks at his face in an indirect way of asking him why he called.

"Wenton, I want you to go get some things for me at the mall, I feel so fatigued. I would have gone by myself." He hands over his card to him and a list of items on a piece of paper. "You can buy yourself anything but it shouldn't be more than eighty dollars. Is that okay?"

"Yes," he replied with a smile. "Thanks dad." He hurries out of the room, he never expected to get an eighty dollar gift from his dad most especially as he had disappointed the whole family. While on his way to the mall, he wonders why he didn't call Samuel. Then he recalls that the last time Samuel, his elder brother was asked to go pick some ordered stuff from the same supermarket, it nearly took him a whole day to return home.
