CHAPTER FORTY - FOUR

She told me never to call her.

Vivian looked at him as though she felt pity for him, but she didn't at all. When he was done talking, she stood up and looked at him.

"This is how you pay for your evil; you don't even deserve to leave at all; you should have died by now.

"I love how you feel pain; this is how I felt when I lost my child; you made me feel worthless. I pray you never find peace. She took her step toward it and retreated it back.

"And let me warn you for the last time: I don't ever want to see you close to me or anywhere around my house. If you do, I will make sure you pay dearly for it. She walked into her car and got out aggressively.

He watched her drive away. He fell on his knees and cried like a child. He wondered if he should go back to Ethan after a long while.
