Chapter 59

Smith watched Richard, who seemed to stay where he was, as he exited the car. He was buttoning the bottom of his shirt while smoothing it out. Richard's clothes didn't seem too flashy, but one thing that made his appearance steal the show was the pink cufflink that contrasted with the black suit he was wearing.

"You'll be fine, sir." Smith, who stood and waited for him to walk on his right side, spoke faintly so that no one would hear him.

But her words, which meant nothing but encouraging him, bothered Richard. "Have you only known me for a year or two?" she asked without glancing at him.

The sensitive Smith immediately bowed his head. "Of course not, sir." He denied that.

He had long been Richard's servant from when Richard entered his teenage years, when Smith was still in his early twenties, not too far away from Richard's mid-teens. But even then, Richard was already mature-minded due to his position which required him to be wise and organized in many ways.
