“Mum?“ Amber called again. Aunt Matilda turned to Amber, gazing at her intensely.

“Amber, what do you know about him?“ She asked, I noticed both of her hands, grabbing tightly into the counter.

I moved closer to her, trying to make her feel a little bit of closure, maybe then she will feel comfortable opening up to me, I needed to hear the part of her story, i needed to know what really happened.

“Mum, remember when you called me from jail, and I told you I met him, remember you didn't have the chance to talk to me because your time was up, I still need answers, that's all, as my mother I need to know how you had me, and who my father is also, I can't keep living in lies, and most of all, I can't keep living in the lies Mrs Laurette has always told me,” I said. Amber hoped Mrs Laurette would forgive her if she ever got to find out she said this about her, all Amber wanted was to make Mrs Laurette look like a bad person, maybe then, Aunt Matilda would be able to open up.
