THE NEXT MORNING: TALIA.

Talia's Uber dropped her off at the front of the company. She paid the driver and got out of the cab. After the usual security checks, she entered the building, walked over to the counter, went to sign her name and the date of her return for the day, but Crystal wasn't there.

She turned to Crystal's assistant, Elena, when Talia noticed she was crying.

"Is everything okay?" Talia asked, shaking her head and blowing her nose with a handkerchief.

"Can you share, you know, maybe I could help," Talia grinned, but it didn't seem to have any effect on Elena, and the moment Elena opened her mouth to speak, tears began to roll down her cheeks uncontrollably.

"H-haven't you heard? I thought you two were close," Elena muttered, using the handkerchief to wipe the tears from her eyes. Talia was confused, who was she talking about?

"Who are you talking about," Talia said in a soft tone, not wanting to upset Elena.
