The Cooper's

"A billionaire? How can an envelope make me a billionaire, Father?"

Wayne asked with a look of disbelief on his face as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"The envelope contains a train ticket, a map, and a letter. If you follow the map correctly, you will reach a large mansion, tell the guards you want to see Mrs. Emilia, then give her the letter inside."

"No, father, I'm not leaving you here like this." Wayne told his father firmly.

He knew that Drex would return as he had promised and he wouldn't leave him here.

"Go pack your things. Stop being stubborn! Drex will be back soon, and I'm sure they'll do something worse. Do this for me, for us!" Mr. Jones pleaded.

"Father, can I get a say in this?"

"You will know when you meet Mrs. Emilia."

Wayne hesitated before finally running to grab his duffel bag, and slinging it over his shoulder.

"What's going to happen to you when I leave?"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." His father reassured him.

Wayne took one last deep look at him.

"I'm going, but I'll be back." Wayne said as he left the bar.

The train traveled for hours. All the way Wayne couldn't get his father and the situation they were in out of his mind.

When the train finally stopped, he got off and stared at the map in his hand.

As Wayne followed the trail he ended up in front of a big, huge fence. He knew he was in the right place.

He looked around, a tall, muscular guard coming toward him. A baton was in his right hand.

"Go away, we don't welcome beggars," the guard said bluntly with disgust in his eyes.

Wayne frowned, but took a deep breath.

"I'm not a beggar, I just need to talk to Mrs. Emilia." Wayne tried to explain.

The guard's lips curving into a mocking grin before he burst into laughter.

"There's no difference between you and a beggar, you filthy animal. Now get your filthy ass out of this area." He responded provocatively.

"I'm not here to cause trouble, I just need to talk to her," Wayne pleaded with the guard.

"I said, get out of my sight!" the guard shouted, a frown settling on his face as he raised his baton and swung it at his arm.

As Wayne felt his anger rising, a black SUV approached the gate.

He backed up to let the car pass without crushing him. He watched as the passenger window rolled down to reveal a beautiful, opulent lady.

"What's going on here?" the lady asked reassuringly.

"Ms. Amber, I'm telling this homeless to leave, but he refused," the guard explained.

"I just want to talk to Mrs. Emilia," Wayne defended. Ms. Amber waited a few seconds before mumbling.

"All right, let him in.

"Are you sure about this, Ms. Amber?! You know Mrs. Emilia wouldn't take it with you again!" The guard muttered as he bent to pick up his baton from the floor.

Ms. Amber rolled her eyes in annoyance: "I told you to let him in! Are you disobeying me?"

The guard quickly stepped aside, allowing Wayne to follow the SUV.

Amber got out of the car and waited for him to approach.

"What do you want?"

"I have a letter from my father, he asked me to give it to Mrs. Emilia," Wayne said with a straight face.

"Is that all?" Amber asked.

"Yes." Wayne said with a nod.

"Okay, come with me."

When they reached the living room. Mrs. Amber offered Wayne a seat and was about to leave when an older lady walked in with a frown on her face.

"Amber! What is a dirty homeless man doing in my living room?"

As Amber turned to see her grandmother's angry expression, fear gripped her, knowing she would be scolded again

Among Mrs. Emilia's children, Amber's father was the least favorite, and everyone knew it.

Amber had always tried to show her grandparents that she was capable of being the family's top heiress, but it didn't matter because no one in the household, including her grandparents, cared.

"I'm sorry to bother you, ma'am, but this young man said he has a letter for you."

"What is it?" she asked, hesitating to take it.

"It's from my father. He asked me to give it to you," Wayne replied with a straight face.

She finally took the envelope and pulled out the contents, which was just a piece of paper.

She tossed the envelope on the floor and turned to the piece of paper, suddenly inhaling sharply. Her eyes held a lot of emotions, and she lifted her face from the paper, her face turning red.

"No way, Amber can't marry you!"
