Ria maintained a smile on her face as she walked straight into Chris’ office. As soon as the door closed behind her, her smile turned into a vicious one, scary and alarming.

The skimpy dress she had on was worn intentionally and she was so sure Chris would turn her away if she dressed so provocatively.

Swiftly, she sashayed toward Chris’ chair and sat back behind his chair, hissing sinisterly.

The suffering she had endured while she was in captivity in the den of The Reds wasn't to be quantified. She felt like her soul left her body and the scar on her face was the last thing she was most pained about.

She closed her eyes, reeling in what she went through at the hands of that masked man.

“When you go back to him…” The masked man whispered in her ears as he pinned her down to the cold ground of his prison.

“Remember that that bastard is the cause of this. If he had protected you well enough, you wouldn't be here suffering in my arms!”

    Five days later…“Have you heard?” A police officer rushed to the detective in charge of Chris’s case with a bewildered look.“What is it?” The detective asked, his gaze displeased. He had a lot on his mind, he was trying to connect the Westminster family to the bomblast but there were no leads. He also has not been able to contact Chase about their ongoing deal. “Reid has been found.” The officer said and immediately the detective whipped his head in his direction. “What…what do you mean?” He asked shakily. “Oh, you don’t know?” The officer laughed scornfully. “I thought you were the detective in charge of the case.” Of course, he knew this beforehand but then they all knew how much the detective had been so hyper about the case.“What do you mean by that?” The detective snapped! “It’s my case and I know everything about it.” He lied through his teeth so he wouldn't be seen as a fool.     “Family member?” Gerald muttered, his eyes flickering to the empty space in the corner of the ward. He was just like that, empty. His life, empty.
