This was the prevalent sound in the clearing where two people could be seen, tangled in intense combat.

A few minutes later, one of them slid back after he took a heavy blow to the side, barely blocked by the staff in his hand.

He had managed to block the dual sword attack that she used against him but there was some pain, as well as some more force that he wasn't able to hold off... or so it seemed.
