**PARKER**

My eyes opened wider when I saw John dropped dead in front of us. I couldn't take my calculative mind off Diana. I quickly got her up when my gaze was fixed on a sniper gun laser targeting her. Diana's life hung in the balance.

The sniper's bullet whizzed through the air, aimed straight for her. But I was always vigilant, and I was able to see the danger unfolding.

With lightning-fast reflexes, I lunged forward, wrapping my arms around Diana and pulling her to safety. The bullet ricocheted off the nearby wall, sending shreds of concrete flying.

Diana's eyes widened in shock as I shielded her from harm.

"Get down!" I yelled, myvoice low and urgent.

Together, we hit the ground, my body covering hers. The sniper fired again, but my quick thinking had saved us both, and I shot at him from our spot, and it hit him in the forehead.

Breathing heavily, Diana gazed up at me. "Thank you," she whispered.

My expression softened. "I'll always protect you," I promised.

Then we raced through the restaurant back door for another exit. We thought it's all gone when I killed the sniper, but they came rushing at us very fast.

As we scrambled to our feet, a hail of bullets ripped through the air. More hitmen emerged from the shadows, their guns blazing.

I swiftly returned fire, taking down the first assassin with a precise shot to the chest. Diana's eyes widened as I moved with deadly efficiency, dropping the next attacker with a swift kick and a crunching punch.

They sprinted through the crowded streets of New York, weaving past panicked bystanders. My trained instincts guided them through the chaos, dodging and evading the relentless barrage.

A third hitman lunged from a nearby alleyway, knife glinting in the fading light. I disarmed him with a swift twist, sending the blade clantering to the ground. A swift kick sent the assassin crashing into the wall.

Diana gasped, struggling to keep pace with my breakneck speed. "Where are we going?" she shouted above the din.

"Safe house!" I yelled back, with my eyes scanning the rooftops for more threats.

We burst through a doorway, slamming it shut behind them. I leaned against the door, gun still smoking, as Diana collapsed against the wall, breathless.

For a moment, we locked eyes like we were about to kiss; the tension between us was palpable.

"You're safe now," I promised, his chest heaving.

But Diana's gaze flicked past me, to the window. Outside, the city lights twinkled like stars, and in the shadows, more danger lurked.

It was now she remembered she had lost her bag and the envelope John gave to her. I looked at her with strange side eyes, and I took out my phone and gave it to her to inform her father of what's going on, and then I took out the envelope from my lower pocket. Then she relaxed her mind, and the happiness was glued to her beautiful face.

Then. She dialed her father's number very quickly and waited for his response, but he didn't receive the call, so she dialed the second time and onto the third time, until she was about to give up calling, then he picked.

"Hello." He said I'm a silent voice.

"Father, it's me, Diana." She said it with her fearful voice.

"Diana, where the hell are you? I have been calling your number but you weren't picking. I wanted to warn you about your outing. I want you to go back home right now if you haven't gotten there. Someone had out a hit on my family. You are not safe anymore."

Master George said, and when he was about to hang up the phone, she shouted at him.

"Listen to me this time, father. I have been attacked at the restaurant, and yes, there was a contract, ok, my dear life, and it's all because of you. I don't have anything against anyone, so why do I have so many enemies to go through? You are a disappointment to all fathers." She said angrily and toss the phone to me, but I could still hear her father talking and calling her name continuously.

"Diana, Diana." He kept on calling.

So I picked up the phone and gave it to her, but she angrily threw it on the floor again. Then I walked towards the phone and received the call.

"Sir, this is Parker." I said, and he seems not to remember me among the 30 hitmen that he's controlling.

"Who the hell is Parker? What's your code?" He asked.

"Code 1430, sir." I replied to him with the code, and immediately I landed. I heard a quick, loud noise from the background calling my name, and the two voices sound like my two best friends.

"Parker... is that you?"Joe asked curiously.

"Yes, it's me, Joe." I calmly responded.

"Sir, he's an honorable hitman; he's our friend, sir, and also the personal bodyguard to Miss Diana; nothing will happen to her, sir." Tom acknowledged me in front of Master George; he changed his harsh tone to a good one.

"I want you to protect her with your life, and I want you to take her to the safe house; we shall meet you guys very soon." Master George said.

"Yes sir." I did my last respect to him, and he hung up the call.

I helped her up from the ground as we approached the door, leaving the room and securing our exit at night. We had to make sure we weren't followed, so I gently walked through the street alone and hid her at a corner before sending the hand signal for her to come out of hiding.

"Stop there, you wanderers." A deep voice from the dark uttered and stood confidently in front of us in a black on black leather jacket, and his face wasn't visible.

I drew my gun gently while I used my left hand to guide behind me, and I matched slowly forward towards the figure.
