BACK AT THE UNDERGROUND BUNKER

It was impossible to tell whether it was daytime or night in the bunker, since it had no windows. Evident enough to show that the bunker was built to barely keep hostages alive but not for their comfort.

But Michael easily noticed the weather changed as his body reacted to the cold. His concern drove his attention to his poor mother who was shivering in the corner. Tears filled his eyes as he imaged his mother going through the same suffering for the past two centuries.

“Mom! You are feeling cold” Michael exclaimed as he stood and approached her looking worried.

“Don’t touch me. Leave me alone” Mary said sadly as she tried to crawl backwards but she was already at the wall. Michael then stopped, seeing how afraid she was.

Michael couldn’t blame her for anxiety state, he knew the only way to help was to gain her trust.

“It’s okay mom, I will not hurt you, am only here to help” he assured as he opened his palms indicating he was not a threat. Seeing how calm she was getting, he pulled h
