Ezra said, his eyes darting to the ground as his shoulders sagged in defeat, holding his bandaged wrist to his chest.

"Are you kidding me? That's not going to happen, Ezra. They need to pay for what they've done. Why would the dean of student affairs ask you to forget about it?" Michael asked, upset, and Ezra sighed.

"Are you seriously asking me that? Isn't it obvious that the dean wants nothing to do with this case because it happens to involve Jack McCoy?" Ezra said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Come on, let's go back. He has to hear us out," Michael said, and both Michael and Ezra returned to the Dean's office. Michael did everything he could to convince the dean to reconsider his decision.

"Sir, this isn't fair to Ezra. Just take a good look at what they did to him. You can't just let them off so easily," Michael said, trying to reason with him, but the dean frowned.
