MICHAEL'S ESCAPE

The bank alert left Damien perplexed; he had never earned a quarter of that amount in his entire life. The most confusing part was the source: the person he had been paid to kidnap. Imagining his daughter strong and healthy again, Damien felt joy and confusion mingling within him.

“Why would you transfer $200,000 to someone hired to kidnap and harm you? It's illogical; who behaves like that?” Damien questioned Michael, guilt evident in his eyes.

“I don’t have any issues with you, Mr. Trust me when I say I know how desperate you must have felt before taking this job. I have a good sense of people, and I can see that you're not a bad person; you're just frustrated at the moment,” Michael calmly replied.

Michael’s response triggered a religious awakening in Damien, making him genuinely question his actions. Unable to meet Michael's gaze, Damien grappled with guilt.
